threats require an additional layer of protection consisting
primarily of air filtration and radiation shielding. Detection

can provide immediate protection from such events; however,
under some circumstances evacuation may become necessary.

Although, Secure Spaces does not recommend above
ground shelters if designing for a nuclear blast, we provide
links to prefabricated, underground shelters, if you desire
such protection. This approach, however, limits use of
the shelter for other threats that may exist.
