Tornadoes
and earthquakes are normally very short-lived events.
This package assumes a short-duration stay. Therefore,
limiting supplies with minimal systems supporting comfort
and convenience in the Secure Space. However, in
many instances the threat may linger for many hours well
into the night. In such cases the ability to provide additional
supplies and systems such as backup power and sleeping
accommodations, etc. is desirable. Planning under these
circumstances then becomes similar to hurricane preparations
in the case of a tornado (see Package #2). Sometimes however,
the Secure Spaces can be used for occupation
during an earthquake's aftermath in which case further
provisions become necessary (see Package #3).
